On this the 11th day of April 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Lich, seconded by
Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved appointment of DR. G. L. MABAQUTAO as
the new staff physician for the Kerr County Jail, effective as of April 7th, 1988, and that he
be paid an amount of $600.00 per month for his services, payable out of the General Fund.

COURT TO MAKE SEMI-ANNUAL INSPECTIONS AT SID PETERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, V. A.
HOSPITAL AND STATE HOSPITAL AS TO PROPER FACILITIES, PROCEDURE AND EQUIPMENT FOR
TAKING BLOOD SAMPLES IN DWI CASES
On this the 11th day of April 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by
Commissioner Baldwin, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the County Health Officer
or other person designated by the Kerr County Commissioners' Court, be authorized to make
semi-annual inspections at the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital, V. A. Hospital and Kerrville
State Hospital, as to proper facilities, procedure and equipment for taking blood samples in
DWI cases, as per Art. 6701E 5 Sec. 3(c), V. A. T. S.

NO. 17846 MOTION TO APPOINT DR. G. L. MABAQUTAO AS COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER OF KERR COUNTY
On this the 11th day of April 19gg, a motion was made by Commissioner Ray and seconded
by Commissioner Lich to appoint Dr. G. L. Mabaquiao as the County Health Officer of Kerr
County.
Commissioners Holland and Baldwin voted "NAY" and County Judge Edwards "ABSTAINED FROM
VOTING". Motion failed.

NO. 17847 APPROVAL OF ACCEPTANCE OF MAINTENANCE OF WINDCREST DRIVE IN WINDCREST ESTATES IN
COMMISSIONER'S PREC. NO. FOUR
On this the 11th day of April 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Baldwin, seconded
by Commissioner Ray, the Court unanimously approved acceptance of maintenance of Windcrest
Drive in Windcrest Estates (approximately 1050 feet of paved road), located in Kerr County
Commissioner's Precinct No. Four, and as recommended by Kerr County Road Engineer, Gerald W.
Menefee.

NO. 17848 APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO AMBULANCE CONTRACT WITH AMCARE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
On this the 11th day of April 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Baldwin, with Commissioners Holland, Ray and Baldwin voting "AYE", Commissioner
Lich voting "NAY" and County Judge Edwards "ABSTAINING FROM VOTING", said motion carrying by a
majority vote, that the proposed rate of $175.00 for Advanced Life Support (ALS) be approved,
but all other current rates remain the same, as shown in schedule with AMCARE EMERGENCY
MEDICAL SERVICES, subject to concurrence by Kerrville City Council.
