N0. 17786 APPROVAL OF SECOND QUARTERLY PAYMENT TO THE KERR CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR
TAX APPRAISAL OFFICE EXPENSES FOR 1988
On this the 14th day of March 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Holland, seconded
by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved the second quarterly payment to the
KERB CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT for tax appraisal office expenses for the year 1988, in the
amount of $18,537.00.
It is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer and County Auditor be authorized
to draw a voucher on the General Fund (10-660-471), payable to the KERR CENTRAL APPRAISAL
DISTRICT, in the above amount.

N0. 17787 APPROVAL OF ADJUSTMENTS IN PAYMENTS TO THE ANIMAL 64ELFARE SOCIETY, RETROACTIVE
TO JANUARY 1, 1988
On this the 14th day of March 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by
Commissioner Lich, with Commissioners Ray and Lich and County Judge Edwards voting "AYE" and
Commissioners Holland and Baldwin voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a majority vote,
approving adjustments in payments to the ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY, retroactive to January 1st,
1988, increasing payments by an amount of $55.00 per month. (See paragraph 5 of Agreement)

A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Economic Development is an ingredient of progress in any Community; and
WHEREAS, The Commissioners' Court of Kerr County recoginizes its leadership role in
encouraging and supporting growth; and
WHEREAS, The Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce is active in efforts to establish new
businesses in all sections of Kerr County; and
WHEREAS, The Chamber in its promotional activities occasionally needs information and
other types of assistance in its endeavors; now
THEREFORE, Let it be known the Kerr County Commissioners' Court encourages the efforts
of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce toward economic development and

FIRE DEPARTMENTS
On this the 14th day of March 1988, a motion was made by Commissioner Bill Ray to amend
the motion in Order No. 17789, dated 3/14/198. to include transfer of titles to all Volunteer '
Fire Departments that are presently in the name of Kerr County.
Motion failed for lack of a second.

NO. 17791 APPROVAL OF APPOINTMENT OF RUTH PRIEST AS A MEMBER TO THE KERRVILLE-KERR COUNTY
JOINT AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD
On this the 14th day of March 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by
Commissioner Holland, the Court unanimously approved that RUTH PRIEST be appointed as a member
to the Kerrville-Kerr County Joint Airport Board.

NO. 17792 TERMINATION OF ED4PLOYMENT OF PART-TIME SECRETARY TO THE COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
On this the 14th day of March 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by
Commissioner Baldwin, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the termination of employ-'
ment of Carol Fullenwider, as part-time secretary to the County Attorney's Office, be ratified
and confirmed, effective as of February 29th, 1988.

NO. 17793 APPROVAL OF PAYMENT FOR REPAIRS TO AIRPORT RUNWAY 2/20 IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000.00
On this the 14th day of March 1988, upon motion made by Commissioner Ray, seconded by
Commissioner Lich, the Court unanimously approved payment for repairs to the Airport Runway
2/20, in the amount of $20,000.00, being Kerr County's one-half of costs, payable out of
Revenue Sharing Trust Fund (20-650-500), and subject to concurrence by the City of Kerrville.
