APPROVAL OF REQUEST OF ROBERT R. BARYON, DISTRICT JUDGE, FOR
THE PURCHASE OF ONE I. B. M. WHEELWRITER #3 TYPEWRITER FOR
THE 216TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT
On this the 29th day of February 1988, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holland, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, with
Commissioners Holland, Lich and Baldwin voting "AYE" and
Commissioner Ray voting "NAY", said motion carrying by a
majority vote, approving the request of Robert R. Barton,
District Judge, for the purchase of one I. B. M. Wheelwriter
#3 Typewriter for the 216th Judicial District Court, to be
used by the official reporter of the Court, quoted price
$868.60, Kerr County's portion being 4.x.940 - $416.42, to
be purchased through the Kerr County Auditor's Office and
that each County in the 216th Judicial District contribute
its proportionate part of the cost to Kerr County.

I wish to purchase an I.B:M. W11ee1writer N3 typewriter for the 216th
Judicial District Court to be used by the official reporter of the
court when the typewriter in the Kerr County Courthouse is not available.
The reporter has been gUOtecl a price of $868.60 without sales tax. I
propose that the cost be paid by the counties of the district in pro-
portion to the 1980 Census population, which is the basis for the
payment of the reporter's salary.
It might be convenient for the typewriter to be purchased through the
Kerr County Auditor's Office and each county contribute its proportionate
part of the cost to Kerr County.
The acquisition of this typewriter will expedite the work of the court
and I shall appreciate your favorable consideration. Please advise
me of your action.
