SUMMARY STATEMENT
This was a previous budgeted item that was held in abeyance in
FY 1986-87. All Airport projects (FY1986-87) have been held in
abeyance to release the funds required for this project ($68,500) plus
the additional allocation by the City Council and Commissioners Court
of $20,000.00 each.
This project is for rehabilitation of Runway 02/20 center section
3940' x 60', by one of two methods.
A. Remove 1.5 inch of old asphalt by milling and replace with new
hot mix asphalt or plant recycled old asphalt.
B. Recycle in place 1.5 inch of old asphalt adding rejuvenating
agents and new asphalt. Reapply hot rejuvenated asphalt.
RECOMMENDED ACTION,
Authorize Staff to advertise and receive Bids for Runway 02/20 Asphalt
Rehabilitation with Commissioners Court concurrence.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
- Sealed proposals for the rehabilitation and strengthening of
~ Runway 02/20, Louis Schreiner Field, Project No. 88-02/20-01, for the
City of Kerrville, Texas will be received by the City Clerk at the
City Hall, 800 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas, until 3:00 o'clock
p.m. (local time) on 1988, and then at said place publicly
opened and read aloud.
The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract,
Plans, Specifications, Performance/Payment Bond, and other contract
documents are on file to be examined in the Engineer's Office, City
Hall, City of Kerrville, 800 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas
78028.
Copies may be obtained at the office of the Director of
Engineering in the City Hall, Kerrville, Texas. All unsuccessful
bidders shall return such sets, in good condition, within ten (10)
days after the time set for the opening of bids.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to
reject any or all bids or to accept the one that in the judgment of
the Council will be in the best interest of the City of Kerrville.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's
check or bid bond payable to the City of Kerrville, Texas, in the
amount of ten percent (10~) of the amount of the bid as a guarantee
that the contract and bond will be entered into within ten (10) days
after the award is made.
- No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the
actual date of the opening thereof.
