MOTION BY COMMISSIONER RAY REGARDING TRACTS 12, 13, AND
THE SOUTH 1/2 of 14 OF STONELEIGH RANCH PRESENTLY OWNED
BY MR. & MRS. LEAMON BUSH
On this the 3rd day of May 1988, came on to be considered
by the Court the request of Leamon Bush, requesting a
variance regarding tracts 12, 13, and the South 1/2 of 14
of Stoneleigh Ranch property presently owned by Mr. & Mrs.
Leamon Bush.
A motion was made by Commissioner Ray that the request to
subdivide the property constitutes a Subdivision and not
a variance.
Motion failed for lack of a second.

Dear Mr. Menefee,
We would like the Kerr County Commissioners Court to
entertain the motion for a variance to allow the landowner
to subdivide his property for the specific purpose to gain a
residential mortgage lien on the property. The property is
tracts 12, 13, & South 1/2 of 14 of Stoneleigh Ranch in
Center Point, Texas. The property is currently owned by Nlr.
& Mrs. Leamon Bush. They have recently been granted a
divorce, and the purpose of ttre loan is to settle their
estate.
Underwriting guidelines for residential loans state that the
land can be no more than 30~ of the total loan package. The
tracts total 25+ acres. In order to geY, the loan approved, wa
need to decrease the number of acres involved. We have
suggesL'ed approximately 5-10 acres that' include the house,
water, outbuildings, and septic system. Also, Mr. Bush teas
some cultivation on the acreage, and the underwriting
guidelines won't allow " agriculture use" of the land.
We would sincerely hope that you will consider the variance
to subdivide Mr, Bush's property so that we can proceed to
grant him a loan.
