On this the 8th day of August 1988, upon motion made
by Commissioner Ray seconded by Commissioner
Holland it was unanimously approved by the Court
that the resignation of BRAD ALFORD, DEPUTY SHERIFF
OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS, be ratified and confirmed,
effective as of August 15th, 1988, and that he be paid
for 9 days of vacation, to be included on the August
15th, 1988 pay period.

Dear Sirs:
Deputy Brad Alford has submitted his resignation from
the Kerr County Sheriff's Department to be effective
close of business August 15, 19~$.
Deputy Alford is due nine days (72) hours vacation time
and requests that pay in lieu of taking the vacation time
be included on his final check August 15, 198t~.
It is with regret that Brad Alford's resignation accepted
as he has been a loyal, efficient and very thorough deputy
from the start. He will be missed and our loss another Dep-
artments gain.

It is with deepest regret that I am resigning my commission
as Deputy Sheriff for Kerr County.
I have received an_ offer to work for another Sheriff's De-
partment and I feel that I should accept this position.
I would like to inform you that I have enjoyed my job and
would not be leaving your employment, if the election had
j turned out different. I do not feel that I could work for they
new administration.
However, if your write in campaign works, I would hope that I
would be subject to re-hire by your department.
Thank you for the opportunity of working for you and for all
the things you have taught me.
Once again I would not be leaving this department, if I was
• certain you would still be in office.
Good luck on your campaign.
My last working day will be August 15, 1988 and I will have
nine days of vacation time.
