ACCEPTANCE, ON MR. MENEFEE'S RECOMMENDATION, THE
BID OF REICHENAtJ BROS. CONSTRUCTION CO., INC.
FOR KEITH BOULEVARD
On this the 10th day of October 1989, upon motion made by
Commissioner Morgan, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, with
Commissioner's Morgan and Baldwin and County Judge Edwards
voting "AYE", and Commissioner's Ray and Holekamp voting
"NAY", said motion to accept, on Mr. Menefee's recommendation
the higher bid of Reichenau Bros. Construction Co., Inc,., of
542,086.6.5, for road work on Keith Boulevard, was approved by
a majority vote. An evaluation of the bids by the Road
Administrator, Gerald Menefee, lead him to believe the lower
bid was wholly inadequate to complete the job as specified,
and rather than run the risk of difficulty he recommended the
higher bid be accepted. Mr. Wheatcraft, when called in and
explained the situation, voiced no opposition.
