Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court
unanimously approved to hire Boyle Engineering Corporation to
provide professional services for an airport environmental
assessment in the amount of $19,700.00.

SUMMARY STATEMENT
The Federal Aviation Administration has identified a need for an
Environmental Analysis on Louis Schreiner Field prior to further
consideration of any grant assistance. (FAA letter RE: LOUIS
SCHREINER FIELD, dated January 30, 1989.) The Airport Consultant firm
has submitted an "Agreement for Professional Services" to provide this
service. The Joint City-,County Airport Advisory Board has met with
the consulting firm on March 15, 1989, and recommends that Boyle
Engineering be commissioned to provide this service.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Authorize City Manager to write letter confirming the employment of
Boyle Engineering Corporation for the sum of $19,700 with concurrence
of the County Commissioners Court.

Environmental Assessment
Dear Joe:
Boyle Engineering Corporation is pleased to submit a proposed agreement for engineering
services for the preparation of an environmental assessment for the proposed improvements
to Louis Schreiner Field. The assessment will be in accordance with Chapter 5, Airport
Environmental Handbook (5050.4A) Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation
Administration.. Acopy is enclosed for your use.
The proposed improvements are shown on Exhibit "A" of the proposed agreement. These
improvements are those described in the Airport Master Plan dated March 2, 1988.
These services are proposed to be provided for a lump sum fee of $19,700.00 and to be
rendered within 150 days.
The City of Kerrville -Kerr County is to provide investigations of historic, architectural,
archeological and cultural resources if required.

Budget are requested.
