APPROVAL OF SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING
PROPOSED AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS FOR LOUIS
SCHREINER FIELD
On this the 11th day of December 1989, upon motion made by
Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court
unanimously approved to set a Public Hearing on Wednesday,
ianuary 17, 1990, at 5:00 o'clock P. M. at Kerrville City
Hall. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the
economic, social, and environmental effects of the proposed
airport improvements for Louis Schreiner Field and to comment
on the consistency of airport development with the goals and
objectives of existing planning for the community.
Representatives of Boyle Engineering Corporation, Consulting
Engineers, will present a summary of the proposed airport
improvements outlined in an Environmental Assessment recently
prepared for the City of Kerville-County of Kerr. The City
will handle advertising of the hearing for both entities.

SUMMARY STATEMENT
Boyle Engineering Corporation has completed the Preliminary
Environmental Assessment for proposed improvements to Louis Schreiner
Field. Prior to finalization and submission to the Federal Aviation
Administration, a public hearing on the proposed airport improvements
is required. The proposed airport envirorunental assessment document
must be made available for public examination at least 30 days prior
to the hearing. It is suggested that the public hearing be held at
the regular scheduled Joint Airport Advisory Board meeting of Jan. '90.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
That the public hearing concerning proposed airport improvements for
Louis Schreiner Field be held at the Jan.'90, Joint Airport Advisory Board
meeting, with public notice fcr such hearing to be published ir. the
Kerrville Daily Times for no less than 30 days prior to the hearing.
Also that the "draft" Environmental Assessment prepared by Boyle
Engineering Corporation be available for public examination during
the 30 day notification period at the Kerrville City Clerk's office,
the Kerrville Pub1_ic Works office, 800 Junction }iwy., Kerrville,
Texas, the Kerr County Clerk's office, Kerr County Courthouse,
Kerrville, Texas, and the Kerrville Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library,
505 Water St., Kerrville, Texas, with concurrence of the Kerr County
Commissioner's Court.

FOR LOUIS SCHREINER FIELD
On January!'', 1990 at 5:00 pm, a public hearing will be held at
Kerrville City Hall, 800 Junction Hwy. ,Kerrville, Texas.
The purpose ci the hearing is to consider the econcmic, social, and environmental effects of
the proposed airport improvements for Louis Sclueiner Field and to comment on the
consistency of airport development with the goals and objectives of existing planning for the
community. Representatives of Boyle Engineering Corporation, Consulting Engineers, will
present a summary of the proposed airport improvements outlined in an Environmental
Assessment recently prepared for the City of Kerrville -County of Kerr.
Persons in attendance will be offered the opportunity to present written or oral views, whether
opposed to, in favor of, or by way of proposed revision of the proposed development. All
comments, oral or written, received by the hearing officer prior to the conclusion of the public
hearing will be made part of the record of the public hearing.
Persons who desire to review the "draft" Environmental Assessment prepared by Boyle
Engineering Corporation may do so for thirty (30) days during normal working hours at the
