The Marathons have quickly gained recognition as the most
dependable and productive series of copiers Xerox has ever
ofkred. As the Mamthon Series has developed, advances built
into our larger, high-volume machines have been incorporated
into our smaller, low-volume models. In fact, the 1025 is the
smallest copier available anywhere that offers both 11 x 17 copies
and a stationary platen!
Build tt YoureeH Modularity is just one of the advantages of
Marathon technology shared by the 1025. This means you can
choose features and accessories now or later. Among your
options: stream-feeding of originals, athree-tray paper supply,
High-Capacity Feeder, a 10-bin sorter, and color copying
modules.
AutomaNe Input Since it has a stationary platen, [he 1025 can
have an optional Semi-Automatic Document Handler (SADHj
for stream-feeding originals. The SADH accepts originals in
sizes from 5'h x 8'h up to 11 x 17, in l3 to 24 Ib. weights.
Automatte Throughput The 1025 delivers up to 21 copies per
minute on a variety of paper stocks and materials, in sizes from
4'/a x 5°/a to Il'h x 17, and in 13 to 321b. weights. If you have the
1025 R/E (reductlon/enlargement), you'll need the 8'/x x 11
`portrait" cassette to maintain the 21 cpm speed. With the
optional Three Tmy Feeder, you can have up to three 250-sheet
trays -with three different stocks- ready at the touch of a
button. With Automatic Tray Switching, when the first tray is
empty, the 1025 switches to the next full tray of the same size
paper. To minimize the number of times you re-load paper, the
High-Capacity Feeder provides a 2,600-sheet paper supply.
A Single-Sheet Bypass on every 10251ets you make copies on
a different throughput stock or make two-sided copies -without
disturbing [he paper trays.
Automatic Output The optional 10-bin sorter holds copy
sizes from 5'h z 8'/s up to 11 x 17. Touch a button to change the
sorter into a stacker; this directs all the copies of a particular
original into one bin.
Automatic Reduction/Enlargement If you choose the 1025
R/E, which has reduction/enlargement, you have eight
reproduction ratios ready at the touch of a button: 64%, 70%,
74%, 94%, 129%, 141%, 154%, as well as standard size. Reduc-
tion/enlargement is extremely useful for any organization [hat
works with multi-size originals every day and wants to maintain
or vary their size and format.
Excellent Quality Control Even though the 1025 is compact,
it still provides Mamthon copy quality consistently. In addition,
you have five levels of Contrast Control to suppress [he back-
ground on colored originals and to copy light images crisply
and clearly. A 3mm strip along the lead edge of each original
(the edge that's copied first) and a Imm strip down each side will
not be reproduced. Since this is almost always in the margin
areas, no text or data should be lost during copying.
Marathon Dependahllity The 1025 incorporates the reliability
advances of the second wave of Mamthon technology. In other
words, with the 1025, you'll enjoy a reliability rate even better
than that of some preceding Xerox copiers -that were very
reliable to begin with! An internal, electronic self-diagnostic
system lets your Xerox Service Representative check all vital
components in minutes, so that actual or potential problems can
be quickly identified and solved.

MOTION TO AMEND ORDER N0. 18661 TO READ XEROX
AND NOT SAVIN
On this the 12th day of May 1989, upon motion made by
Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Morgan, the Court
unanimously approved to amend Order No. 18661 to read: to
authorize Commissioner Ray to lease a Xerox 1025 Marathon
Copier, instead of the Savin 5030, from State Purchasing thru
Commercial Office Supply at 5126.00 per month, which includes
the first 2,000 copies, and 1 cent per copy over 2,000.
