ig~3a. COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION on May 4, 1989 at 1:00 o'clock P. M. with all officers present, and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: A pre-proposal conference was held on expansion space for the courthouse with ten architects and engineers present. After a brief question and answer period the Sheriff's Office took them on a tour of the jail and courthouse. After the Courthouse tour Gerald Menefee, County Road Engineer, took them on a tour of the Road & Bridge facilities, the mechanic yard, the Agriculture Barn and the office space on Earl Garrett. .z, Commissioner Holekamp reported that the Lane Valley Bridge project is not in jeopardy and the Highway Department will wait for the County to fund the money, but we are to proceed with the Right of Waye. .3 A preliminary conference was held on Hill River Country Estates with Mr. Milton Taylor. It was decided that Commissioner Ray would check to see if the roads had been deeded and exactly who owns them, and that the replating would still allow people access to their property. Commissioner Ray will present his results to the Court and a determination will be made to decide if a variance from notification will be allowed. ~ A preliminary conference was held on 188 acre subdivision on State Highway 16 South with Mr. Richard Holcome. Mr. Holcome would like to sell 100 acres of land located at the back of his property and allow a 50 foot wide access from this 100 acres to Highway 16 across his property. The Court will approve if the access is 60 foot wide. S A preliminary conference was held on Center Point Estates, Lots 414 and 415 with Mr. Phillip Milton. Mr. Milton is to contact each homeowner in his subdivision and request a reply in writing that they have no objections to the replat. If no one objects than a variance will be granted. PAGE 328
