MOTION TO APPROVE RF.50L[JTION ON JUVENILE DETENTION
STAFFING FOR STATF. 3?UNDING
On this the 12th day of May 1989, upon motion made by
Commissioner Morgan, seconded by Commissioner Ray, the Court
unanimously approved a resolution on ~7uvenile Detention
Staffing for State funding in the amount of 520,878.00
through the Alamo Area Council of Governments.
RESOLUTION
N0. 18669
WHEREAS, the Juvenile Probation Department of Kerr County,
----. Texas, has requested funding for a project known as "JUVF'.NILb:
DETENTION STAFFING" to aid in the duties of that department,
and
WHRRF.AS, funding is available for such a program through the
Governor's Office of General Counsel and Criminal Justice and
the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act for 26~ of
the projer•t amount, and
WHEREAS, the involvement of Juveniles in deli.ngucncy and
crime is of concern to this body and deserves the attention
of our Criminal Justice System;
NOW, THERF;FORE, BF. TT RESOLVED that the Commissioners' Court
of Kerr County hereby approves the submission of a grant
application entir,led "J[JVENIhE DETENTION STAFFING" in the
amount of 520,878.00 through the Alamo Area Council. of
Governments to t:he Governor's Office of General Counsel and
Criminal. Jusħice, State of Tex.=3s.
The motion by Commissioner Morgan, sPCOnded by Commissioner
Ray, the foregoing i.s unanimously approved this the 12th day
