,gg s4. COMMISSIONERS' COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION on August 8, 1989 at 10:00 o'clock A. M. with all members present, and the Court having duly opened the following proceedings were had: Commissioners' Court met with Mike Walker, Architect, Frances A. Kaiser, Kerr County Sheriff, and Bob Brown, Jail Administrator, to discuss the possible options for expansion of the Kerr County Jail. No decisions were made, but several options were presented to Mike Walker, who said he would be back on Friday, August 11, 1989 with Maxey & Associates and they would have the cost factors and feasibility of the various options presented in Court. Everyone agreed they did not want to remodel the current jail, or build a 96 bed jail away from the Courthouse. The Court would like to see the break down on expanding sideways at the Courthouse, or building a multi unit away from the Courthouse and the cost factor broken down as follows: a.) low risk wing, 24 beds -- b.) high risk wing 24 beds c.) central core d.) kitchen e.) laundry ORDER NO. 18890 MOTION TO ADJOURN On this the 8th day of August 1989, upon motion made by Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Morgan, the Court unanimously approved to adjourn.
