COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED on August 30, 1989 at 9:07 o'clock A.M. with all members present except Bill Ray, Commissioner Precinct 2, and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: Juanita Maples, Kerr County Appraisal Office, Paula Rector, Kerr County Tax Assessor-Collector, and Tom Modisett, Kerr County Auditor, were all present. Commissioner Ray arrived at 9:10 o'clock A. M. Juanita Maples and Paula Rector explained to the Court they still had a problem, and would like to request the necessary time to work it out and hopefully would be able to get back to the court by early afternoon. COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED AT 3:20 P.M., with all members present and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: Juanita Maples addressed the Court, stating that the Tax Assessor-Collector had full responsibility on figuring the tax rate. The Appraisal District does it as a courtesy. The difference in the two tax rates was traced to a printing error on the forms from the State Property Tax Board. The ... Auditor was also able to provide additional figures that neither the Tax Office or Appraisal Office had before. They made a disc of their calculations and gave a copy to the County Ruditor, which will be available for anyone who would like to see it. The rollback rate is .2352. Paula Rector asked the Court if they would like to have the tax rate republished. Judge Edwards and Commissioner Ray said they did not see a reason for republication.
