During a Juvenile Board Meeting on Thursday morning, the
Board decided that CASA and Parenting should be under
Commissioners' Court and not Juvenile Probation.
Commissioners' Court will finance Parenting for the next two
months pending arrival of grant money. When the grant money
is received the County will be reimbursed for monies spent.

ESTABLISHMENT OF FUND 25, ESTABLISH NEW LINE ITEM
10-660-446, PARENTING, AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS
On this the 14th day of September 1989, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Morgan, the
Court unanimously approved to establish Fund 25, Parenting
State Aid Fund, establish New Line Item No. 10-660-446,
Parenting, and to transfer $5,000.00 from Line Item No.
10-401-500, County Map, to Line Item No. 10-660-446,
Parenting, to meet first month's payroll.
A group representing CASA addressed the Court on funding the
program for the first few months until they were established.

MOTION TO CREATE, IN NEXT YEAR'S BUDGET, LINE ITEM
N0. 10-660-445, CASA, IN AMOUNT OF $6,000.00
On this the 14th day of September 1989, Commissioner Ray made
the motion to create, in next year's budget, Line Item No.
10-660-445, CASA, in the amount of 56,000.00. The motion was
seconded by Judge Edwards. During discussion this Order was
amended by Order No. 19024 which was approved by a three to
two vote. After Order No. 19024 was approved, the Court came
