On this the 13th day of November 1990, upon motion made by
Commissioner Baldwin, seconded by Commissioner Ray, the Court
unanimously approved by a vote of 5-0-0 to apprc,ve the State
Department of }{ighways and Publir_ Transportation to pursue
Indian Creel: Bridge as a bridge relocation rather than a
bridge rehabilitation program and to place Indian Creek
Bridge ahead of Lane Valley Bridge for completion. County
.Judge Edwards is to notify the Highway Department in writing
of the Court's decision.

Subject: Indian Creek Bridge Relocation
Dear Judge Edwards:

This letter is to inform you of our proposal to relocate Indian Creek
Bridge at the Guadalupe River crossing. The condition of the existing
bridge is such that rehabilization is not practical and replacement of
the bridge is preferred. The proposed aligranent will enable the existing
damn to remain in place.
In accordance with the criteria of the Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation
Program, any additional approach road work in excess of 150 ft. fran the
ends of the bridge shall be 100$ funded by the participating county. Below
is a breakdown of the estimated county cost for this project.
20$ of Bridge Construction Costs $ 114,700.00
100 of Additional Approach Read $ 17,000.00
± 0.6 Ac. Right of Way @ Prevailing Costs
If the County approves of this relocation and wishes to pursue this project
as a bridge relocation rather than the bridge rehabilitation project, please
send us a written confirniation so we may forward this information to our
Austin Office.

Thank you for your informative appearance before Commissioners' Court on
November 13, 1990 relative to the captioned project.
As you heard, after due consideration, the Court is of the opinion that we
should proceed on the project as outlined by you. We understand that you
will proceed on this project as a bridge relocation rather than a bridge
rehabilitation project.
Also, it is our understanding that you will plate the Indian .Creek project
as a first priority as to the other projects pending in Kerr County. We
would prefer to see it given preference under the circumstances.
