Litke ~.~~~ Date: November 8, 1990 Subject: Wedin Subdivision and Order #18899 In reviewing this subject with Mr. Larry Vetters and Mr. John Wedin, I would recommend to the Commissioner's Court not to pursue any further platting requirements. This recommendation is based on the following: 1. The City of Kerrville is under court order to accept the proposed plat. This places a more stringent requirement on the plat review process. In areas where jurisdictions overlap the more stringent requirement prevails. 2. The existing septic systems are either licensed or were installed prior to the regulations. 3. At the time when platting was started all lot sizes except for lot 3 met minimum lot size. 4. The water well which serves the properties is cased and cemented providing extra protection. 5. Any further improvements and installations for on-site sewerage facilities will have to follow current regulations regardless of lot size. Mr. Wedin is now ready to finish the plat but wants an answer from the Court before proceeding. ORDER NO. 18899 REFERRAL OF WEDIN PRELIMINARY PLAT TO DAVID LITKE, KERR COUNTX FNVIRONMF:NTAL HEALTH, FOR HIS CONSIDERATION On this the 14th day of August 1989, upon motion made by Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved to refer the preliminary plat of Wedin Addition, in the ETJ and Commissioner's Precinct No. 3, to David Litke, Head of. Kerr County Environmental Health, for his consideration. Mr. Litke is to consult with the City of Kerrville to work out the lot sizes that are to small for on site systems. The consensus of thr~ ._, ._ +.~ras to accept the plat as required in the lawsuit. The customary signatures and routine approvals will be required. At this point, I would recommend the following course of action: 1. Determine all improvements done so far. 2. Have surveyor/engineer prepare final plat. All information, signature blocks, etc., on the plat wi71 need to be dated as appropriate. As an example a statement from me concerning septic systems will be required instead of the Upper Guadalupe River Authority. 3. Have the plat accepted by the city. 4. Have the plat accepted by the county. 5. Concerning water service, after the plat is approved request annexation with a request for water service. If water service is provided, your water well will be required to be abandoned and plugged. Sincerely ,~ ~`~'-~ David L.
