APPROVAL OF MERIT INCREASE BUDGETED FOR THE
COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE IN APRIL BE GIVEN TO BARBARA HOLMES
On this the 12th day of February 1990, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Judge Edwards, with
Commissioner's Holekamp and Ray, and Judge Edwards voting
"AYE", and Commissioner's Baldwin and Morgan voting "NAY",
said motion to approve the merit increase budgeted for the
County Clerk's Office for April 1, 1990 be given to Barbara
Holmes, was approved by a majority vote. Mrs. Holmes will be
at Pay Group 11, Step 2, 513, 040.00 annually, Sl, 086.67
monthly, and 5543.33 semi-monthly.

SUBJECT: Eileen Meek's Merit Raise cancelled
and given to Barbara Holmes. To be discussed Feb. 1 i.n
Executive Session.
I am having a problem with Eileen. She will not follow my
policies. When Karen Hale was ill Eileen would not stay
for Juvenile Hearings as they were after 5 p.m. She only
wants to do the work that she wants to do.
An Assistant Dept. Head is needed ir. the County Court-at-Law
Dept. Barbara Holmes has really come along in her training
and wi]1 follow my po]icies. I feel that I would be doincr
the best for the morale of the department and for the court
by doing this.
Otherwise, Eileen is a hard worker and handles a tremendous
load for Karen. This work she does without very many errors
and I have no other problems with her. With Merit Raises being
few and far between I have to judge personnel and I hope you
all will work with me on this.
