MOTION TO BRING UP ARREARS AND INCREASE PAYMENT
AS PER THE ANIMAL WELFARE CONTRACT
On this the 22nd day of February 1990, upon motion made by
Commissioner Morgan, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, the
Court unanimously approved to bring up arrears and increase
the monthly payment to the Animal Welfare Society as per the
contract.

Dear Judge Edwards:
'1'he above referenced contract originally called for the County to
make monthly payments of $1,250.00 to the Animal Welfare Society
for services rendered.
Paragraph five of said contract states that the monthly payment
shall be adjusted upward or downward each year by an amount equal
to the percentage change in the consumer price index.
For the year 1989, the monthly payment should have been adjusted
by 4.4~ to the amount of $1,362.42. The County is now arrears in
payments to the Animal Welfare Society by the amount of $689.04.
The consumer price index rose by 4.6o in 1989, thus the 1990
monthly payments should be $1,425.10.
