It shall be the responsibility of the County Treasurer to
determine the amount of funds which are available for
investment and the types of investments which will yield
maximum income for Kerr County.
/9333.1 County Clerk, Patricia Dye, requested a digital pager so
Funeral Homes, Hospitals and J. P. 's could reach he for burial
transit permits she has to sign so a body can be moved. She
reported there are an average of 16 a month, mostly after
5:00 P. M. Judge Edwards says he sees no problem with holding
the body until 8:00 A. M. and signing the transit permit then.
Commissioner Morgan said if we approved a pager for her, next
month every department will want and need a pager.

AUTHORIZATION FOR COUNTY JUDGE EDWARDS TO MEET WITH
THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY ENGINEER TO WORK
OUT THE DETAILS FOR A VARIANCE ON THE JUVENILE
DETENTION CENTER
On this the lst day of February 1990, upon motion made by
Commissioner Baldwin, seconded by Commissioner Holekamp, with
Commissioner's Baldwin, Holekamp and Ray, and Judge Edwards
voting "AYE", and Commissioner Morgan voting "NAY', said
motion to authorize County Judge Edwards to meet with the
Kerrville City Manager and the City Engineer to work out the
details for a variance on the Juvenile Detention Center, was
approved by a majority vote.
Commissioner Morgan reported that several problems had arose
as a result of the Kerrville South fire on December 26. A
bulldozer was called in to make a firebreak and now the owner
of the bulldozer wants to be paid. Also the owner of the
property wants to be reimbursed for the gees knocked down by
the bulldozer. Kerr County needs to establish policies or
procedures for calling in bulldozers or equipment to fight
fires.
