Raymond Holloway, Kerrville Fire Chief, 'cold the court that, unfortunately, the Volunteer Fire Department personnel have regular ,jobs whereas the amity has regular personnel that can respond on a moments notice. According to the present contract language the city must respond on ali structure fires by sending a pumper. When a pumper is dispatched a backup crew must he called in for the backup pumper. It would be costly if the city must respond on all structure fires. At present if there is a grass fire in the County and a structure ~~ould be in danger, the city responds with their pumper, as water is a problem in the County. Final analysis was to have a Ci-,y/County Safety Committee meeting to wr~rk out contract language. The Workshop ended at 10:10 A. M.
