'~ JUDGE EDWARDS CALLED FOR THE WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE AGENDA at 2:38 P. M. on the jail expansion needs. Commissioner Morgan said the second opinion from Di Stefano & Associates gave some new alternatives and the cost factor was less. Commissioner Holekamp said he liked the alternative of 69 beds and possible offices, and would like to explore that option a lot closer. Judge Edwards said there were several conflicting statements in the proposal, and Di Stefano was leaving us 77% incarceration, but it would be more than that if we had the beds. Commissioner Baldwin agreed with the Judge that the proposal was distorted and confusing. The Court decided each officer would write down their questions, complete with page number if possible, mail them in one package to Di Stefano & Associates, and ask them to return to Court to answer the questions. Commissioner Morgan felt sure that Di Stefano b Associates -- would be willing to return to the Court and explain any questions. Commissioner Ray arrived at 2:49 P. M.
