APPROVAL OF EXTENSION OF AMC:ARE CONTRACT FOR
ONE (1) YEAR AHD APPROVAL OF A SECOND AMENDMENT

On this the 16th day of May 1991, upon matian made by
Commissioner Holekamp, Seconded by Commissioner Dehler, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 3-0-0 to extend the
AMCARE l:ontract 2or one (1) year and approved the second
amendment to the AMCARE Contract.
SECOND AMENDMENT TO
AMBULANCE CONTRACT
This Amendment by and between the CITY OF KERRVILLE, herein
called "City" and COUNTY OF KERB, herein called "County and AMCARE
AMBULANCE SERVICES, INC., herein called "Contractor" to that
certain original Ambulance Contract dated December 2, 1988, as
follows:
1. The term of this Amendment shall begin on July 20, 1991
at 5:00 p.m. and terminate on July 20, 1992 at 5:00 p.m. unless
sooner terminated as provided in the original Ambulance Contract.
2. For the ambulance services to be rendered hereunder,
City and County shall pay a total monthly sum to Contractor of
$6,250, said sum to be divided equally between the City and County.
The first payment hereunder shall be due and payable the 20th day of
the month next following the month in which this contract begins
and continue thereafter during the term of the contract such that
Contractor is paid such monthly payment after rendering each month
of service hereunder.
3. Contractor shall be authorized to charge no more than
$205.00 for Advanced Life Support base rate.
4. Contractor shall be authorized to charge $2.75 for
mileage.
5. Contractor agrees to maintain one (1) emergency medical
vehicle within Kerr County, twenty-four (24) hours per day.
6. Contractor has registered three vehicles in the County of
Kerr as Advanced Life Support (ALS) with Mobile Intensive Care Unit
(MICU) capabilities and Contractor agrees to maintain this
certification for the period stated in number 1 above.
7. AMCARE agrees to continue to maintain the level of
services it has been providing as of May 1, 1991. This includes, but
is not limited to, maintaining the quality of the ambulances and
personnel which have been utilized.
8. Except as amended herein„ all of the provisions of the
original Ambulance Contract, effective July 20, 1987 shall be in
effect.
