E. County Engineer DATE: August 15, 1991 RE Regulatory Signs This department has been asked to place regulatory signs in several areas that need traffic control or invo lve Public Safety. One area in particular is the State Hwy. 27 and Goat Creek Cut-Off Rd. which needs NO PARK ING signs, approximately 100 feet North past Neighbors. Attached is a letter from W. T. Hall, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, giving more details about this problem. The Commissioner's Court must hold a public hearing before placement of any regulatory signs. Ken County Road & Bridge Dept. would be glad to proceed with the advertising, ordering and installation of the signs, if ordered by the court on the above mentioned intersection. Due to the time and expense involved in putting this together, we would like to present as many request for signs as possible to the public at one time. If each of you will add any information you may have with respect to regulatory signs in your area, we can do them all at one time. We would like for this project to be completed within this budget year (1990-91). '~ _ , ~ , f .~ - - . - } , (~ li ~Ct„tt ..~~a ~..c l,~it_t. _G bLl~.,. Mounting con- TX 6B-17.1 T\ - .,`..: August 14, 1991 T0: Kerr County Road & Bridge Dept. FROM; W.T. Hall, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission SUBJECT: No Parking Signs on Goat Creek Cut-Off Rd. Due to the large crowds at Neighbors, 3044 Junction Hwy.,c~n Friday and Saturday nights the parking has been overflowing from the bars parking lot to the roadway and ditches along Goat Creek Cut-Off Rd. This problem is especially bad from 11:OOPM until closing at 2:OOAM. The vehicles parking on and along the road create a traffic hazard, endanger persons walking to and from the bar after parking these vehicles and lessen the visibility for other vehicles entering and leaving the parking lot. I believe by posting no parking signs on both sides of the road from the intersection of State Hwy 27 and Goat Creek Cut-off Rd, to a point approximately l00 feet North past Neighbors would alleviate this situation.
