MOTION TO kEJECT THE ONE BID RECEIVED
ON THE HOLIDAY ROAD PROJECT AND EITHER
REBID IN LATE JULY OR EARLY AUGUST OR THE ROAD &
BRIDGE DEPARTMENT DO THE PROJECT IN SEPTEMBER
On this the 3rd day of June 1991, came on to be considered by
the Court the one bid, for 543, 892. 58, received from E. E.
Hood b Sons, Inc. on the Holiday Road Project. Mr. Odom, the
Road Administrator, said he felt the bid was way to high, as
he had figured anywhere from 521, 000.00 to 529, 000. 00, with
525,000.00 being the average. With the camps opening in late
June or early July there would not be sufficient time to
rebid and complete the project before the opening of the
camps.
On motion made by Gommissioner Morgan, seconded by
Commissioner Oehler, the Court unanimously approved by a vote
of 4-0-0 to reject the bid. If the Raad & Bridge Department
has sufficient time and man Bawer available in September they
will complete the project in house, or rebid in late July or
early August.
