NOVEMBER 24-30, 1991
WHEREAS, the vitality and productivity of Texas depends on the strength
and well being of fts families; and
WHEREAS, the family is our first association with the institutional
structures of our society and serves as an intermediary
between the individual and society, providing its members with
a sense of continuity and bebnging; and
WHEREAS, the American family must cope with many challenges in
contemporary society, including employment, child care,
education, housing, health issues, child abuse, teen pregnancy,
crime, poverty and the effects of divorces and remarriages on
family relationships; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that we recognize the special contributions and
needs of families in our society and show that Texas is proud of
its founders; and
WHEREAS, the County of Kerr, Texas, is celebrating the importance of the
family in special events throughout the week of November 24-
30, 1991; ,
NOW, THEREFORE, 1, W. G. Stacy, Kerr County Judge, proclaim November 24-30,
