TO THE KERR COUNTY CHILD SERVICE BOARD
On this the 28th day of February 1991, upon motion made by
Commissioner Oehler, seconded by Commissioner Holekamp, the
Court unanimously approved by s vote of 4-0-0 the appointment
of Michael C. Cagle to the Kerr County Child Service Board to
replace William Baskette.

I am interested in becoeing a member of the Kerr County Child Services
Board, I believe that as a ~aenber of the Board I could be able to help
the children of our community, being that I have a genuine concern
about their needs and welfare.
I have been employed with the Kerrville Police Department for B years,
9 Months; currently assigned to the Cri>,e Prevention/Community
Relations Department. I have a good working relationship with the area
schools in Kerrville/Kerr County; am in constant contact with the
children and their parents.
I have over 955 hours of police-related schools, including child abuse
investigation and suicide prevention training. I a^ a certified
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) instructor; on the Board of
Directors with the Kerr County Substance Abuse Coalition; have spoken
to over 10,500 children and adults on topics pertaining to child abuse,
date rape, child safety, and drug abuse. I work closely with civic
organizations in whatever capacity is needed in cooperation with the
Police Department and the Chief of Police.
