Subject and Proposal: To accept the six (6) side roads in Wood Trails Subdivision for County Roads and to maintain them. ~ Si?r~~ These six (6) side roads (trails) are: Mesa 'frail, Corral 'frail, ` ~j Kanger 'frail, Mustang frail, Arroya Trail., and Lo • ,,,-n~rarl. ~C, 'Che total of all of these roads is approximately 1.379 miles ~.~ Bachround an_d_ Hi_s[o_ry: Wood Trails Subdivision comprises 506.42 acres, in the North Central part ut. Kurr County, 'texas, between Goat Creek Road and Interstate 1(l, approximately 2.3 miles from Kerrville Cicy Limits. This Subdivision originally was divided into _73 Tracts and was-accepted as a subdivision (wi[fi restrictions and plat) on January 30~ 1978, 'At the present time we have 1_23 lots or home C ave ZS'g"~over 4.1 acres per tract. 'te subdivision has 81 individual separate land owners of whirl 57 re homes (families) living in the subdivision; and, approximaCely 16 more land owners live in Kerr County, or a total of 73 families own property in [his subdivision and live and earn their Living in Kerr County. A[ the present time there are nine (9) roads in the. Subdivision. Three (3) of these roads; namely (1) Hollumon Road (1.03 miles) paved in August 1981; (2) Wood Trail (1.45 Miles) paved in AugusC 1986; and (3) Roland 'frail (.828 Miles) paved in August 1986, are all blacktupped (paved) an ma..[ataned by Kerr County. 'these three (3) roads are a total of 3. 308 Miles.j v--_- -l ;,iur~arr..t' Six (6) of these roads (trails); (1) Mesa 'frail (.197 Miles); (2) Corral frail (.1.11 Miles) (3) Ranger 'C rail (.IIU Miles); (4) Mustang Trail (.251. Miles); (5) Arroya 'frail (.242 Miles); and (6) Longhorn Trail (.468 Miles), are unpaved roads and not maintained by the County. These six (6) roads are a total of 1.379 Miles. s -.\. The total of all nine (9) roads is 4.683 Miles. 'Chree (3) roads (3.304 Miles) are maintained by the County; and, six (b) roads (1.379 Miles)are not maintained by the County. Current History of Wuod 'f rails and Roland Trail During Che summer of 1986, delegates from the Wood Trails Ranch Property Owner's Association met with the Commissioners of Kerr County. At this Meeting it was agreed that Kerr County would Lake ovei~~Zlood Trails and.R.o_Land.~Trai.l and pave these roads immediately (which was done in August 1986) and Kerr County would take over the six (6) side tr or roads at a later date and pave them during a "two 'I~ or three year period," after 1986. However, these side roads have. never been taken over and we £eel iC is now time to correcC this `y ~ error and have Kerr County take over the six (b) side roads and maintain them. AC the present time we have 35 families (homes) living on the three. (3) roads maintained by the County and'72 umilies living on Che side roads.)
