On this the 25th day of April 1991, upon motion made by
Commissioner Lackey, seconded by Commissioner Morgan, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0 to authorize
the Texas Department of Aviation as agents for the airport
owners to execute the construction contract with E.E. Hood &
Sons, inc. in the amount of 5988,009.66, with the concurrence
of the Kerrville City Council, for the construction of the
airport improvements to include the extension of RW 12/30 and
its corresponding taxiway 1,000 feet, airport lighting (MIRE)
and relocation of the VASI lights.

SUMMARY STATEMENT
The Texas Department of Aviation as agent for the airport owners and
with the concurrence of the airport sponsors, will accept the low bid
of $988,009.66, from E.E. Hood & Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 10, Von Ormy,
Texas, 78073, for the construction of the airport improvements to
include the extension of RW 12/30 and its corresponding taxiway 1,000
feet, airport lighting (MIRE) and relocation of the VASI lights.
The Texas Department of Aviation will execute and administer the
contract for the City and the County with the approval of the Texas
State Attorney General. The total project cost is $1,177,778 (FAA
$1,060,000, State $58,889, County $29,445 and City $29,445).
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Authorize the Texas Department of Aviation as agents for the airport
owners to execute the construction contract with E.E. Hood & Sons,
Inc. in the amount of $988,009.66, with the concurrence of the Kerr
County Commissioners Court.
