Rev. Civ. Stat. (Vernon's 1976). WHEREAS, the "Counties" and "Cities" have agreed to contribute the total of $132,107 in matching funds if said joint application is approved; and WHEREAS, the source of funds would not normally be used for this purpose; and WHEREAS, the "Counties" and "Cities" believe it to be in their best interests to join in the applications to develop an areas Narcotics Task Force. (1) NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: ARTICLE I PURPOSE 1.01 The purpose of this Agreement is to allow "Counties" and "Cities" to file joint applications for a Narcotics Task Force Grant, with the Criminal Justice Division, which creates the 216th JUDICIAL DISTRICT NARCOTICS TASK FORCE which application is attached hereto as exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all purposes. ARTICLE II TERM 2.01 The term of this Agreement is to commence on the execution of this Agreement and to end May 31, 1993. ARTICLE III CONSIDERATION 3.01 As consideration of this Agreement, "Counties" and "Cities" agree to contribute a total of $129,340 in matching funds (in-kind) for the enhancement of the 216th Judicial District Narcotics Task Force. ARTICLE IV OWNERSHIP OF EQUIPMENT 4.01 Upon termination of this Agreement, ownership of equipment hardware, and other non-expendable items will revert to the applicant for which it was acquired, subject of the approval of the Criminal Justice Division of the State of Texas. {2) ARTICLE V 5.01 This Agreement; may be amended by the mutual agreement of the parties hereto in writing to be attached to and incorporated into this agreement. ARTICLE VI LEGAL CONSTRICTIONS 6.01 In case any one or more the provisions contained in this Agreement shall be held be be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect such invalidity, illegality or unenforceable shall be affect any other provision had never been contained herein. COOPERATIVE WORKING AGREEMENT This is to certify that the objectives of the 216th Judicial District Narcotics Task Force grant application for fiscal year funding by the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office have been reviewed and that it is mutually agreed to cooperate to whatever extent is necessary in carrying out the work plan described in that application.
