RELATING TO THE A80LISHMENT OF THE
OFFICE OF KERB COUNTY PUBLIC WEIGHER
On this the 23rd day of September 1991, came before the Court
the matter of the abolishment of the Office of Kerr County
Public Weigher and, the Court being of the opinion that the
office is no longer necessary because the State of Texas
licenses such weighers and the same are available in Kerr
County and that the budget will be benefited by the
abolishment o£ the office;
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Office of Kerr County Public
Weigher is hereby abolished effective December 31, 1991,
subject to the preclearance of this change by the United
States Department of Justice pursuant to the Voting Rights
Act;
IT IS FURTHER SPECIfiICALLY ORDERED that this change shall not
be effective until the date of preclearance by the Justice
Department;
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Assistant County Attorney Stan
Reid is hereby authorized to prepare and make said
submission. Motion was made by Commissioner Holekamp,
