portion of Urder No. 1013v~, Commissioner Morgan made a
substitute motion to award the bid contract for Contour Urive
Sewer Project to Bennett Jordan, Ingram, Texas, Yor a cost of
535,433.00, subject to escrow money or a signed contract from
Jeanelte Apartments and Nimitz Apartments being obtained
prior to letting contract. Said motion failed for lack of a
second.

A discussion of the Animal Welfare Society's contract with
the county followed. Judge Macy is to talk to the people in
charge of the Welfare Society and try to work out the
problems, while Commissioner Lackey is to talk to the local
veterinarians aGOUt contracts with the County on housing oY
animals.
,~. A workshop will be set up for Monday, March 18, 1991 at 1:30
Y.M. to visit with and interview architects for overseeing

,.3 The Auditor reported that the budgets in both the County
Clerk's and District Clerk's Uffices are short the necessary
funds for the civil case management and criminal case
management packages from Soitware Group. Soitware has
verbally agreed to accept the funds in the current budget and
allow the County to pay the remaining balance in next year's
