by the Court the Lower Colorado River Authority's proposal of
a ma,7or installation oY new eler.tru;al power facilities
composed of a large transformer substation and extensive high
voltage transmissa.on lines in Kerr County, to be known as the
Kerrville Project.
On motion made by Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by
Lornmissioner Uehlet, the Court unanimously approved by a vote
of 4-0-0 to loin with Uommunrty Action Gruup, lnc. and the
affected Kerr County residents in commending and thanking the
Management of the Lower Colorado lover Authority for its
responsiveness to public in put to its Kerrville Project.

On this the 11st day of March 1.+'yl, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Lackey, the
l.ourt unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0 to ratify the
emergency ban on burning in Kerr County passed on March 11,
lyyl.

In the event it becomes necessary for a person to burn during
the ban, they should contact the Uounty Judge's Uffa.ce to see
i£ the ban has been lifted, and if it has not, alert their
local lire department for permission and have the department
standing by. They must also pick up a copy and comply witt,
the Uuil t,onservat>.on Service guideilnes Ior prescribed
burning.

DETENTION FACILITY
Un this the Llst day vi March 1'Dyl, upon motion made by
commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Commissioner Oehler, the
court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0 ti,e contract
with Kerrville Telephone Company, Security Alarm Division,
and authorized the County Judge to sign same on behalf of
Kerr County, to provide the necessary equipment to allow the
Fire System in the Juvenile Detention Center to be monitored
by the Kerrville Police Department.
The clearing ui the title fur Civy Mountain was postponed
until the March lH, ly~Jl meeting.
The Animal Welfare Society told the L~uzt that it was a
unanimous decision of the Hoard of llirectors to waive the two
year notice for cancellation of the Contract with the County.
-They will continue to take the counties animals until they
are notified otherwise.
Star, keid, Assistant County Attorney, told tkze court that the
