REBUEST FOR THE COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
TO RENDER AN OPINION IN REGARD TO CONSTABLES
On this the 23rd day of May 1991, upon motion made by
Commissioner Lackey, seconded by Commissioner Oehler, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0 to request the
County Attorney's Office to render an opinion concerning the
legality of a constable accepting additional compensation for
services performed while on duty and what effect failure to
become a certified peace officer has on the office of
constable.
SUDGE STACY CALLED FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION at 4:29 P. M.
EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED AND COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED
IN OPEN SESSION at 4:50 P. M.
Item No. 3.1 on Verde Creek Estates was postponed until the
next meeting, June 10, 1991 and there was no action on item
no. 3.2 on personnel in the District Clerk's Office based on
the recommendation of the Assistant County Attorney.
