Dn this the 9th day of September^ 1991, ~_ipon motion made by
Commissioner^ Hole4<amp, seconded 6y Commissioner Oehler, the
Court unani~oualy approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to proceed
with abolishing the Public Weigher's ^ffice. S~_ib.ject to
clearance from the Justice Department a p~_iblic hearing is to
be set witt-~ the effective date of December 31, 1991. The
F'~.~blic Weigher' in Office at the present time will ser-ve the
rest of his term.
The State makes pr^ovisions for F'i_iblic Weigher^'s and we do
very little weighing any more and this does not warrant a
f~_~11-time person. Rft;er further discussion it was agreed
~_~pon to recind Order- No. 205~a for further discussion at a
later date.

considered Rasic Pagers far the Justice of the F'eace,
Officers for Kerr Co~_inty. Jac4: P~_trch, Justice of the F'eace
F~recinct #S addressed the Coi_rrt with a req~_~est for Pagers so
they could be more readily available to the law enforcement
agencies and otFrer^ agencies who need their services. They
ar•e ors call 24 ho~_ir^s a day. Rs Justices, we need the pager
eq~.iipment to effectively preform our d~.ities of office. No
Rction was taken at this time.
