Holekamp, Commissioner Prect # 3 Bruce Oehler, Commissioner Prect # 4 and the following proceedings were had: ORDER NO. 068'9 RELATING TO THE PURCHASE OF THE ONE SCHREINER CENTER AND AUTHORIZATION OF AGENTS TO MANE R RID RND TO ORTRIN FINANCING On this the end day of December 1991, upon motion made by Commissioner^ Oehler, seconded by Commissioner Lackey, the Court unanimously approvmd by a vote of 5-0-0, to consider the purchase of One Schreiner- Center at F. D. I. C. auction in Dallas, Texas, and it being the opinion of the Court that the pur^chase of said building will be in the best interest of the public and will be purchased to accomplish the public purpose of providing office space for- County Officers and Employees and will further assist the County in relieving jail overcrowding; IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED THAT David Jackson, Glenn Holekamp, and Bruce Oehler, are hereby authorized to travel, at County expense, to Dallas, Texas, for the purpose of making a bid or bids at the F. D. I. C. auction for the purchase of One Schreiner Center for• a price not to exceed the maximum author^ized, said amount being below the appraised value of the proper-t y. Said agents are further authorized to sign the ~' PAGE 4B8 purchase documents and to obtain financing for the purchase of said building. The bid deposit and down payment ar-e to be paid fr-om current funds available for capitol improvements and from unabligated reserves. The budget is hereby amended as necessary. IT I$ FURTHER ORDERED that an interest and sinking fund of two per'cent is here~6y established and set aside for each year for- the purpose of repaying the interest and principal on this debt and a sufficient tax is hereby established for- the repayment of said debt until the same has been repaid. Sublett in his suit against N.err• County concerning Cardinal Hill Road and after reviewing the facts it is the finding of this Court that the offer dated April 18, f991, was r-ejected byi Mr. S~.tblett and that at least one counter-offer was made by Mr. Sublett subsequent to his rejection and that other- negotiations were entered into between the parties after the offer.
