Item # 2.15 ao~as•~ Consider authorizing Glenn K. Holekamp, and Stan Reid to investigate and negotiate with the City of Kerrville for the provision of r3viS Services to County Residents. Camtissioner Holekamp addressed the Court asking for scene direction in which to begin to look for a Contract with the City of Kerrville and wanting the Court to give sane imput as to what they thought is needed for Kerr County and it's residents. 'Phe Court would like to look at several options and will rely on Commissioner Holekamp's and Stan Reid's recommendations. The Court would like to see the best alternatives and have them sukmitted to the Court for consideration. COMMISSIONERS' COURT RECESSED UNTIL 9:00 A.M. on December 24, 1991. COMNIISSIONERS' COURT RECONVENED AT 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 24, 1991, with all Officers present, and the following proceedings were had: Item 2.21 ao gas. z Consider filing suit seeking extension of the filing deadline for Elected Offices. The Court spoke to both Party Chairmen, Mary Nell Davis, Democratic Chairznaii, and Danny Edwards, Republican Chairman, about joining in the suit. The Texas Supreme Court does not have a precleared plan for the redistricting, and the filing deadlines would be extended fourteen (14) days with a hearing to beheld after the Christmas Holidays. Both Chairmen felt that Kerr County would not need an extension of the filing date, but the Court decided to wait until January 2, 1992 to make a decision on whether they should join in the suit. Our immediate problem is space in the present system. Our system is from the Software Group System. Our software is an antiquated system and not many vendors will operate with our present system.
