Subject: Status report for completion of private sewage facilities for county
buildings located at 101 Spur i00
Judge Stacy has asked for the statu's of site plans, details, and permit status
for the subject facilities.
The temporary holding tanks for the Road & Bridge maintenance building are
installed and licensed under a 6-month temporary license to operate. The license
was issued the end of July. When the permanent facilities are installed these
tanks will become part of those facilities.
Franklin Johnston has submitted an application for the County.
On May 4, 1992, notes for the Spur 100 facilities were submitted to Judge Stacy
and Commissioner Holekamp containing information about soils, sizing
requirements, systems suitable for the site and variables to consider.
Before a permit to construct can be issued a site plan must be submitted showing
the type of system proposed with distances shown between all features of the
system and the distances to all existing and proposed improvements and site
restrictions. When this is done I can proceed with the application process.
Please be aware that I am not in tt~e position to design the system or prepare
drawings, plans, etc.
Since the Spur 100 property is inside the city Timits of Kerrville, I am acting
as the city's designated representative for permitting and inspection of private
sewage facilities under City Ordinance #89-28. To design, prepare plans,
approve, permit and inspect these facilities would create a conflict of interest.
