APPROVAL OF ADOPTING RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
THE CITY OF KERRVILLE TO SEEK FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE FROM THE TEXAS WATER COMMISSION
FOR LOCAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
On this the 14th day of September 1992, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Judge Stacy the Court
voted by a majority vote of 3-2-0, rich Commissioner Oehler
•nd Commissioner Morgan voting "NAY", to adopt the
resolution authorizing the Mayor of Kerrville to seek
financial assistance from the Texas Water Commission for a
Municipal Solid Waste Management Local Planning Assistance
Grant in the amount of $75,280 for the Period of September 1,
1992 through August 31, 1993.

RESOLUTION 21093
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
KERRVILLE TO SEEK FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE
TEXAS WATER COMMISSION FOR A LOCAL SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN UNDER THE MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM
FOR KERRVILLE AND FREDERICKSBURG LOCAL PLANNING
AREA
WHEREAS, solid waste issues have been identified as a major pri-
ority in the Alamo Area Council of Governments Region; and
WHEREAS, Kerr County is a member government of the Alamo Area
Council of Governments; and
WHEREAS, the Alamo Area Council of Governments' Region has an
approved Regional Solid Waste Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Counties of Kerr and Gillespie and the Cities of
Kerrville and Fredericksburg are identified as the Kerrville and
Fredericksburg Local Planning Area within the AACOG Region,
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that Kerr County hereby au-
thorizes the Mayor of Kerrville to prepare and submit to the
Texas Water Commission an application for a Municipal Solid Waste
Management Local Planning Assistance Grant for the Kerrville and
Fredericksburg Local Planning Area in the amount of $75,280 for
the period September 1, 1992 through August 31, 1993.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Kerr County hereby certifies:
1. That Kerr County will comply with the provisions of
this financial assistance program and the requirements of the Tex-
as Water Commission;
2. That the funds received under this program will be used
only for the purposes for which they are provided; and
3. That the local solid waste management plan developed
with this financial assistance will be adapted by Kerr County as
its policy and that the future municipal solid waste management
activities will, insofar as are reasonably feasible, conform to
the plan.
