RE; Trading Jeep in on a Foreman's Truck
On April 27, 1992, I asked the Court to allow me to trade the Jeep in on a
pickup for one of the foreman. At that time a Court Order 20891 was issued
to allow me to advertise the Jeep for sale, because you did not feel it was
legal for me to trade it in.
Attached is a copy of the Disposition Laws for County property and it does
offer atrade-in as an option.
Therefore, I ask the Court to allow me this option, and allow me to trade-in
the Jeep to help defer the cost of a truck.

"(2J `Salvage property' mea~rs personal pro erty, other than items ~
routinely discarded as waste, that because o~use, time, accident, or
any other cause is so damaged, used, or obsolete that it has no value
for the purpose for which it was originally intended. "
V.T.C.A. Government Code, § 311.031(cJ provides, in part, that the
repeal of a statute by a code does not affect an amendment of the
statute by the same legislature which enacted the code and that the
amendment is preserved and given effect as part of the code provision. _
§ 263.152. I?isposition ~

(1)Y,periodically sell the county's surplus or salvage property by competi-

Section 1 of Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 942, purports to amend § 3(aJ
t of i/ernon's Ann.Civ.St. art. 23722 (now, this section in part) without
-- reference to the repeal of said article by Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 14A,
§ 49(IJ. As so amended, § 3(a) of art. 23722 reads: •~
