A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to the jurisdiction of the County Court at Law of Kerr
County, Texas, and related matters.
Section 1. Section 25.1352 of the Texas Government Code is amended
to read:
(a) A county court at law in Kerr County, Texas, has the
jurisdiction provided by Section 25.0003.
(b) In addition to the jurisdiction provided by Section
25.0003 and other law, a county court at law in Kerr
County, Texas, has:
(1) Concurrent with the district courts, jurisdiction
in all proceedings under the Texas Family Code;
(2) Concurrent with the county court, jurisdiction of a
probate court in mental illness matters.
(c) The judge of a county court at law may not engage in the
private practice of law.
(d) A county court at law has a term of court that begins on
January 1 and ends on December 31 of each year.
