of authorization relative to the variance on the Juvenile Detention
Center.

After receiving a release of liability and indemnity agreement
provided by you on January 13, 1992, I sent a copy of same to
the city attorney and requested. that he make comments as neces-
sary. He requested that further information be provided (see
enclosed letter). Could you send Mr. Machann the requested
information? Should. it be necessary, please. call him to fur-
ther clarify this matter.

Re: Juvenile Detention Center Variance
Dear Sonny:
I have received a copy of Commissioners Court Order No. 19201
dated November 6, 1989. However, this Order only authorizes Gordon
Morgan and Judge Edwards to act as representatives of the Court
with respect to the desired variance.
We need an Order of the Commissioners Court authorizing the
execution and delivery by Judge Stacy of the instrument of release
and indemnity in favor of the City.
I understand that you will coordinate this with the
Commissioners Court to obtain either a copy of an existing Order or
to have the Commissioners Court ratify the prior actions of Judge
Stacy and provide a copy of the Order for our files.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, please let
me know.
