Presentation of classification system and job descriptions
"' for Kerr County Employees by Allison & Associates.
C. Rex Hall, Jt. addressed the Court and his recommendations
were to have three classifications so we would not compare
oranges to apples.
1. Clerical
~. Skilled Craft
3. Law Enforcement
I would recommend that your entry level Clerk enter as a 12
instead of a 1©. He also stated he was not here to cut
anyone's- salaries or raise anyone's salary. He was asked the
question of what he based his opinion on and the answer was
that it had come from the study done and job descriptions
done. He also stated that he thought a legal secretary
should be paid more that a clerk. Ms. Uecker asked the
question of why he thought this and the manly reason given was
because the legal secs etary typed more than a clerk. He then
told Mr. Decker he would talk to her an her job descriptions
after the meeting was over.
