These complaints may fall under your jurisdiction and can be handled competently by your staff. We are requesting that any complaints of a routine nature be handled by your department up to and including enforcement by Justice of the Peace or city court. If the problem persists past local court action, we will gladly investigate the complaint for state action. (a) Except in a municipality in which the local registrar's compensation is set by ordinance, a local registrar shall be paid 50 cents for each properly. completed birth, death, or fetal death certificate that the local registrar accepts for registration, correctly records, and promptly sends to the bureau of vital statistics. (b) The state registrar shall certify annually to the commissioners court or the county auditor, as appropriate, the number of birth, death, and fetal death certificates filed by each local registrar and the amount due each registrar based on the rate provided by Subsection (a). At the discretion of the board, the state registrar may issue the statement monthly or quarterly. The commissioners court or the county auditor, as appropriate, shall audit the statement and the county treasurer shall pay the fees approved by the commissioners court or county auditor when the statement is issued. (V.A.C.S. Art. 4477, Rule 53a (part).) Sec. 195.003. FALSE RECORDS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally or knowingly makes a false statement in: (1} a certificate, record, or report required under this title; (2) an application for an amendment of a certificate, record, or report required under this title; (3) an application far a delayed birth certificate or delayed death certificate; or (4) an application for a certified copy of a vital record. (b) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally or knowingly supplies false information, or intentionally or knowingly creates a false record, for use in the preparation of a certificate, record, report, or amendment under this title. These complaints may fall under your jurisdiction and can be handled competently by your staff. GENERAL STATE~,iEl~rT OF DUTIES: Acts as the senior counri~ official responsible for the administration of all Commissioner's Court Orders, programs. and projects pertaining to environmental health within Kerr Country in accordance with the previsions of the references noted in paragraph 7 above and others. Also acts as the Counri~'s liaisons to the general public on matters pertaining to Environmental Health. EhAI'~iPLES OF WORK: - Supervises the operation of the Environmental Health Department. - Performs and executes duties and responsibilities stated in countti• orders and state statutes in the above referenced ##1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, lU, and 11. - Provide administrative, regulatory, consultative ,compliance, and enforcement activities for orders and laws assigned to the department. - Performs inspections and travels daihT to work sites to inspect work being done and compliance with regulations. - In coordination with the Kerr County Commissioner Court and other government agencies prepares various plans and budgets. - Acts as primary county official for all matters pertaining to environmental health topics: makes day-to-day decisions within the authority delegated. - Responsible for the maintenance of department files. - Develops various departmental correspondence. - Conducts detailed research. - Trains employees through formal and on-the job- training programs. ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAIIVTvTG: As a minimum. A Bachelor of Science degree with a major in one or more of the following: 1. Environmental Health, Public Health. Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, :~'atural Science or Physical Sciences, and ;'or interdisciplinary studies in environmental evaluation 2. Plus 3 years of experience in a supervison• position. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: 1. Registered Sanitarian or Registered Engineer in the State of Texas; or Registered Sanitarian with the National Environmental Health Association. 2. Valid Texas Motor vehicle license. 3.
