APPROVAL OF PART TIME WEEKEND SUPERVISOR

On this the 2nd day of November, 1993, upon motion made by
Commissioner Holekamp, seconded by Lackey, the Court unanimouslay approved by a vote of 
4-0-0, to approve paying a part-time weekend supervisor a salary based on Grad 12, step1.

Road & Bridge Department
• A	Court order	specifies	that part-time employees are "capped"
at	Five Dollars	per hour	($5.00/hr).
• The Road & Bridge Department has apart-time line item that
was budgeted at Six Dollars and Eighty-eight Cents per hour
($6.88/hr), equivalent to Step 12/1.
This position	requires stand	alone,	supervision, self-starting, and in
some instances,	decision-making	skills.	Based on these requirements it is
requested that this position be approved for hire at Six Dollars and
Eighty-eight Cents per hour ($6.88/hr).

Job Description
Weekend Supervisor, SWAP/Community Service
The following are requirements for the job of Kerr County Road & Bridge
Department (R&B) Weekend Supervisor for Probationers assessed Sheriff's
Work Alternative Program (SWAP) or Community Service.
• Self-starter that supervises probationers on Kerr County Rights-
Of-Way in traffic safety control, brush cutting, trash pick-up,
mowing, and minor road repairs.
• Operate light equipment, i.e., dump truck, front end loader,
backhoe, brush chipper, tractor w/mower, to include first echelon
maintenance.
• Has contact with the public.
• Physical labor in all types weather conditions will be required.
• Texas Operators License.
• Paid by Kerr County Road & Bridge Department. No employment
opportunities nor fringe benefits beyond Workmen's Compensation;
withholding income tax; and FICA.
• Transportation primarily R&B equipment. However, if personal
vehicle used, mileage paid ~ Twenty-eight Cents per Mile
($0.28/mi.).
• Normal work hours -Saturday and Sunday, 0730 - 1630 hours
(7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) with thirty (30) minutes deducted for lunch.
Routinely 8 ~~2 hrs/day.
• Immediate supervisor -Bill Ray.
Job Description -Weekend C.S. Supervisor 1
Duties - to include, but not limited to:
Opening Spur 100 Yard & Sign-in area by 0730 hrs
Assisting with Sign-in of probationers
Assisting with Issue & Sign-out of safety equipment
Check-out equipment needed for assigned tasks to include
water, cups, signage, & R&B heavy equipment (all fluid
levels are to be checked
At end of work day
Assist with return of safety equipment
Tool maintenance to include removal of all fuel mix from
hand equipment and clean-up
All trash barrels in Maintenance Shop and Spur 100 Yard to
be emptied
Assist with Sign-aut to insure proper credit hours given to
probationers
R&B equipment -perform maintenance to include cleaning,
fuel and log book entries
