Discussion with the Tax Assessor/Collector regarding the late mailing of County
Tax Statements.
Paula Rector handed the Court a copy of the procedures done regarding the mailing
out of tax statements. She discussed step by step procedures with the Court. There
were several reasons that had delayed the tax statements all of which were beyond
her control. She was asked what we could do to correct the problems and she told
the Court the only thing that could be done would be to talk to the other entities
and have them submit there budget earlier. She said she needed at least a month
in order to work out any problems she may encounter. Commissioners' Court would
like a recommendation from the Tax Assessor Collector on haw to avoid having this
problem again.
