JUSTIFICATION FOR COMMISSIONER'S COURT EMERGENCY AGENDA REQUEST The District Clerk's Office has all Court records on Micro- film requiring the use of reader printers to search any record by us, attorneys, abstractors and the public. 1) Minolta RP504 is 2 years + old and has never been a reli- able piece of equipment. 2) 3M Micro-bond 597 is 8 years old and was an excellent machine. it has endured hard use and is worn out. It has made 75,000+ prints. At the present time it IS working but prints made from this machine are of poor quality and some not certifiable. All of the companies I have contacted so far are agreeable to a plan that would make this purchase possible with the County Budget depending on the amount available prior to 10-1-93. 1) A one-year lease = approx $1437.80 paid before 1-1-93 and the remainder paid by 10-30-93. 2) Dollar-Buy-Out = 1 year lease + $1 at the end of that year and we own the machine. 3) One year lease = $1197.00 per mo. 4) 1/3-1/3-1/3 = 1/3 at the time of purchase, 1/3 within 45 days, 1/3 within 90 days at no interest. These are 4 options, I am still waiting on a response from 2 other companies. Upon approval, specifications will be available to begin the bidding process. ~~~`Q~ti~`L(~Jl/ Linda Uecker, District Clerk ORDER NO. 21467 APPR(7~7AL TO Gp pt}T FOR BIDS FORA READER PRINTER IN THE DISTRICT CLERKS VICE ,Tune 8, 1993 Vol T, Page 75
