Box 12985 Austin, TX 78711 Dear Mr. Crump: The City of Kerrville would like to take this opportunity to let the Commission on Jail Standards know that the city is support- ive of the joint venture for a local law enforcement center to be constructed along with the Kerr County jail. At our Septem- ber 14, 1993, meeting, the City Council. voted to support the project in principal, subject to zoning and platting require- ments being met. In fact, the city will contribute 21 acres of land on Loop 534 on which to construct the proposed jail/law enforcement center. The Kerr County Commissioners Court was unanimous in agreeing to comply with all city platting and zon- ing requirements and providing all necessary documentation to facilitate the processing of a conditional use permit through the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. The city recognizes the spirit of cooperation shown by the Kerr County Commissioners and will work toward the betterment of our community in this effort. If we can supply any additional infor- mation, please do not hesitate to contact me or City Manager Glenn Brown. Sincerely, /V e Herring, J .
