W. G. Stacy, Kerr County Judge 700 Main Street Kerrville, TX 78028 Judge Stacy: I have received your kind letter of April 2nd; "t am responding individually, and not on behalf of the Kerrville City Council. n co It is my understanding that the Planning & Zoning Commission took no action at their April 1st meeting. No vote was taken, eitT to approve or disapprove, on the County's request for a -~ Conditional Use Permit for the property at McFarland and Hays °'Y v Streets. -' It is my opinion that since no action was taken, there ~e~ is nothing to appeal. Further, your April 2nd letter makes no mention of a vote by the Commissioner's Court to appeal any decision by the Planning & Zoning Commission. If Rerr County were to appeal, I would suppose that it would take action by the full Commissioner's Court. I am not aware of any vote by the Commissioner's Court to authorize any appeal. Any such appeal would have to be received by the City within ten (10) days of the April 1st P&Z meeting. My understanding of the spirit of the April 1st P&Z meeting was that the P&Z Commissioners were affirming the wise role the County has been taking in developing a sound lan for the pr~osed Juvenile Detention Center, as wel as o er faci sties needed b the County in the future. It is my opinion that having j. a soun plan in hand will be helpful to the County in any hearing ) before the Rerrville Planning & Zoning Commission. I hope that this letter has been helpful to you. The City of Rerrville has always enjoyed a close working relationship with Rerr County, and I look forward to continuing that association with Kerr County.
