ARCHITECTURE AIA PLANNING KERR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT Hon. Bruce Oehler, Commissioner -Pct. 4 700 Main Street Kerrville, Texas 78028 Dear Commissioner Oehler: Attached are two estimated cost analyses for the location of a temporary facility to alleviate the County's overcrowding problem. We have done some rough sketches for both these options in order to adequately arrive at the anticipated cost. As you can see, the furniture store option is by far the most cost effective, mainly because we are working with an existing building and are just doing some interior remodeling. The other option presented a number of problems -the most apparent being the limited space which will allow us enough room to only construct a building large enough for 40 inmates. Weighing the pros and cons of each, it seems that the most logical and economical approach would be to renovate the furniture store. Sincerely, Joseph M.
